When the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) wanted to expand its product offerings with a new guarantee program that wouldn’t significantly increase capital requirements, they turned to our team of experts for assistance. First, we led the exploration and feasibility analysis needed to identify the kinds of unfunded guarantee products that could leverage existing capital and create effective incentives to reduce the long-term risks of trade transactions. Then, we created a detailed Business Plan and completed the operational procedures and sample documentation required for key product areas. Finally, we assisted with staff training and development of marketing materials, working with our client, end to end, to design an effective new product.
