Anesu Gamanya


Prior to joining International Financial Consulting Ltd, Anesu gained experience working on trade related issues including services trade with the World Trade Organization and export facilitation with the International Trade Center. She also gained experience in intellectual property disputes while working at World Intellectual Property Organization. Anesu has in-depth knowledge on services trade in Africa from her academic and professional experience.

Professional Highlights

  • Drafted an analysis on the impact of demographics, income and climate change on future global services trade published in the 2019 WTO World Trade Report.
  • Created a database with environmental and labour standards to assist textile companies in North Africa to meet these standards and export textiles to the US and EU markets.
  • Contributed in drafting a global survey on digital copyright disputes for the World Intellectual Property Organization used to draft appropriate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms for the digital copyright industry.

Outside of International Financial Consulting LTD

Anesu has lived and worked in Eswatini, Ghana, Jamaica, United States, Singapore, Switzerland and Zimbabwe. She speaks English and Shona and has limited working proficiency in French and Spanish. During her time in Geneva, she organized various panel discussions on intra-African trade in relation to global trade including one held at the 2019 WTO Public Forum.

Anesu holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Grinnell College.
