Sara is a motivated results-oriented professional with over five years of international work experience. She is driven by a passion to address a range of global issues from energy and the environment to inequalities and development. At International Financial Consulting Ltd. (IFCL), Sara is a lead researcher on issues at the nexus of public policy and innovation, trade and investment, development, and climate finance. She is committed to working closely with clients and the team to ensure projects are executed in an efficient manner and achieve the desired outcomes. Sara is proficient in all stages of project management and implementation.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

  • Developed a knowledge product on enhancing the role of National Development Banks in financing climate-smart urban infrastructure

  • Developed a guidebook on climate risk for National Development Banks in Latin America

  • Supported in the stakeholder engagement, diagnostic analysis and development of a Strategic Plan for a National Development Bank in the Caribbean

  • Assisted the UNDP Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Unit by writing and redacting project progress reports and annual reports to donors.

  • Co-authored a guest commentary with Professor Yves Tibergien at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, “Multilateralism, to Cure What Ails Us” from the Paris Peace Forum.

  • Initiated and led the strategy for the social media customer care unit for a leading healthcare insurance company in the Middle East.

  • Pitched new clients to help grow the business, reputation, and market position for a start-up advertising and communications company.

Prior to joining IFCL, Sara worked in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, where she gained experience in business operations and communications across different sectors and within culturally diverse teams. As an intern at the United Nations Development Programme, Sara assisted the monitoring and evaluation unit in impact evaluation and reporting processes. Sara has lived and worked in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, France, Korea and Canada. She speaks English, Arabic, Korean and French.

Sara holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Global Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The University of British Columbia.
