Sara Harb is a self-starter, driven by a passion to address a range of global issues from energy and the environment to migration and development. As a Communications Specialist at the International Financial Consulting Ltd., Sara develops a range of communications materials for our firm and clients including reports, blogs, press releases, think pieces and working papers.
Prior to joining the company, Sara gained four years of work experience in Saudi Arabia as a communications and operations manager where she successfully led a team and honed her project management and client relationship building capacity. Sara’s diverse background, academic and professional experience enabled her to develop an agile set of problem-solving and interpersonal skills which allow her to easily adapt to different cultural settings. Her ability to translate technical content into simplified concepts offers her a unique perspective and leverage over complex policy issues.
Assisted the UNDP Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Unit by writing and redacting project progress reports and annual reports to donors.
Co-authored a guest commentary with Professor Yves Tibergien at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, “Multilateralism, to Cure What Ails Us” from the Paris Peace Forum.
Initiated and led the strategy for the social media customer care unit for a healthcare insurance company.
Pitched new clients to help grow the business, reputation, and market position by building a client base for a start-up company.
Sara has lived and worked in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Canada. She speaks English, Arabic, Korean and French. During her time in Jeddah, she worked with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea to host cultural events and support in administration and translation during business shows and exhibitions. Sara enjoys immersing in new cultures through traveling. Whenever the opportunity allows, she takes up volunteering and freediving.
Sara holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Global Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The University of British Columbia.
